Workforce Partnership serves as a seamless regional workforce system for both employers and job seekers. Partnering with select agencies and organizations provides the opportunity to offer an even broader range of services.
The partners listed below represent the core programs under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
- Kansas Department of Commerce - the Kansas Department of Commerce operates Veterans, Registered Apprenticeship, Trade Adjustment Assistance, Wagner-Peyser (job matching) and other programs. Their staff is co-located in each of our Workforce Centers.
- Johnson County Community College Adult Education - Johnson County Adult Education can help job seekers improve skills in basic reading, writing and math. Their staff can also help individuals prepare for the GED test. Their program also offers English as a Second Language (ESL) and life skills. JCCC also provides many short-term certificate programs as well as many credit-level classes and degree programs.
- Kansas City Kansas Community College - the Kansas City Kansas Community College Adult Education Program is designed to help adults increase knowledge and improve skills. The college offers help with basic skills, high school equivalency preparation (GED), college preparation, and English as a Second Language (ESL). KCKCC also offers many short-term certificate programs as well as credit-levels classes and degree programs.
- Kansas Department for Children and Families - the Kansas Department for Children and Families offers services to Kansans with disabilities to empower those individuals to become gainfully employed and self-sufficient. There are also economic and employment services available to individuals and families receiving cash assistance.
